Genesis: We constructed our children’s scary story books.  The rubric is posted on the website, and the due date is Monday, December 8.

Legacy/Explorers: We continued our reading and writing workshop.  Students participated in inquiry about the open source technology of the wiki through an excerpted talk with Wikipedia founder, Jimmy Wales.  We additionally looked at brief video excerpts of Chris Abani and Kevin Kelly for examples of nonfiction topic development regarding technology and human potential.  Through their feedback, students also helped Ms. Rekkas revise her own nonfiction draft on the wiki for focus.
