Genesis Reading Blocks 2 and 4: Continue reading Avi’s Nothing But the Truth for at least 30 minutes tonight.  Remember that you need to have up to page 103 read by Monday, September 29 and the entire book completed by Monday, October 6.  As you read, fill three 3×5 notecards with your observations on the writer’s style (see today’s handout for more information on this).  Use what we learned today about genre (today’s genre: the memorandum) to help you think about how Avi moves the story forward and describes the characters in unexpected ways.
