Genesis Reading Blocks 2 and 4: Read “The Parsley Garden” at least two times, and annotate the story.  For your annotations: log the important thoughts/questions the text poses for you about the author’s intent, and underline any important references to character, plot, or theme.  This may be your first time annotating… all I ask is that you give it a try!  :)  It’s a skill we develop through practice over three+ years.

Legacy Reading Blocks 3 and 4: You will receive updated reading contracts during our next class.  Read at least 30 minutes daily between now and then–you can do it!  Don’t panic about our blog assignment.  I believe you are capable of developing those critical writing skills throughout this school year.  We will have drafting/activity time for blogging during our next class.  Until then, AIM office hours are from 6:00-7:00pm daily for homework help (AIM: msrekkas).
